about
This is a song inspired by those who use religion to sway people into making certain decisions. Especially those in power who wear religion and faith to influence the masses to follow their agenda.
I ultimately respect and admire all religions and have no judgments on anyone or their beliefs. Whether buddhist, muslim, christian, atheist, or satanist.
I do believe that eventually we will transcend organized religion and recognize ourselves as part of 'god' and not under his/her/its rule. But that is a personal belief.
The line "the truth is in the light of your eyes" is a reflection of this. It is meant to propel the notion that spirituality is within you.
I'll stop now. haha. I am starting to sound preachy!
lyrics
RUN WITH THE FAITHLESS
He's wearing God on his sleeve
A preacher's tone when he speaks
His hidden cause has one aim
To stand upon a higher plane
So walk upon the water, walk upon the water
or
Run with the faithless
Act like you're blameless
The truth's in the light of your eyes
Look to your maker
Is fear gonna save you?
The truth's in the light of your eyes
He stands behind a holy face
If you side with him you might die with grace
But don't think outside of the lines
Or sin may take you from behind
So walk upon the water...
or
Run with the faithless
Act like you're blameless
The truth's in the light of your eyes
Look to your maker
Is fear gonna save you?
The truth's in the light of your eyes
Don't think outside of the lines
Or you may find...
You Run... (CHORUS)
